Meditate. Ponder. Reflect. Contemplate.

Reflect.

What attitude does John Piper suggest we should have when it comes to waiting on God?

These were days of great expectation. Now the long-awaited visitation of God was about to come in a way no one expected.

John Piper, Joy to the World

What are you waiting for? Are you growing weary in the waiting? Or are you filled with excitement and anticipation?

What does your attitude in the waiting reveal about your trust in the One you are waiting for?

Take your “waiting” attitude — whatever it is — to God in prayer. Ask Him to encourage your heart in what you are waiting for.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
